• Aims to increase women’s and men’s participation within processes of change and development through motivation and resource mobilisation
• Combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge
• Co-operate with actors from all sectors of society, public, private and civil society in Sweden and internationally
• Has extensive experience in international consulting with assignments, projects and research all over the world.
• Designs projects in partnership with its clients and partners while drawing on local experience and knowledge

• Applies a gender perspective in all work
• Recognises and uses the differences between men and women, boys and girls, as a resource and a basis for change
• Integrates cultural differences and diversity management
• Uses empowerment as a perspective, method and goal
• Bases all activities on the International Plan of Action established in Beijing 1995 regarding women and girl’s empowerment
• Is politically and religiously independent

Resources

• An inhouse staff consisting of approximately 60 women and men with extensive knowledge and expertise
• A world wide international network including over 200 consultants
• Manages some 80 project and assignments in Sweden and internationally funded by Swedish authorities, private donors, UN, EU and the investment banks (World Bank, IDB)
